Wheelchairs for the Elderly, Sick & Injured

The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever relieves a believer of one of the hardships of this world, Allah will relieve him of one of the hardships of the Day of Resurrection.” (Muslim)

One wheelchair gives a person their freedom and dignity back

An elderly man who can no longer walk, a patient confined to bed by illness, a person injured and unable to move… Many of them spend their days stuck in the same room, waiting for someone to carry them to the doctor, to the mosque, or even to the front door — because their poor families cannot afford a wheelchair.

A single wheelchair changes all of that: it brings its owner out of isolation, back to treatment, prayer and family, and lifts the daily burden of carrying them from their loved ones.

Project details

• Cost per wheelchair: $400, covering purchase, transport and delivery.
• A new, sturdy, foldable wheelchair suitable for daily use.
• Beneficiaries: elderly, sick, injured and disabled people from the families most in need.
• Delivered in person by our field team, documented on video.
• Delivery time: three weeks from the date of your contribution.

How to contribute

• A full wheelchair: $400 — or choose two or three.
• A share: from $100, combined with other contributions until a wheelchair is fully funded.
• You can dedicate the reward to a loved one, living or deceased.
